I wouldn't recommend a 4wd Boosted launch without some HD Tie Rods or at least some Tie Rod Sleeves.. You can make your front tires point towards each other pretty easily. Just turn tow/haul on and drop your t-bars and tire pressure in the rear..

Untill you get a trans and some sleeves, you can tear alot of stuff up.

Once you get HD tie rods and a nice programmer: Put it in Tow/Haul mode and 4wd, power brake to 2200rpm, light turns green- let off the brake and run full throttle.

and your off like a prom dress.....

IIRC Danny has a launch video of his truck doing the same thing.

not using first gear ie 2nd gear start will allow you to get traction better, and launch at a higher rpm and boost psi.....BUT...
It will eat your converter, weither be stock or built, plus its kinda hard to drive on the return roads..

you will deffinately eat up the stock convertor when launching in 2nd gear using efi live tcm tuning. and even more when staging with the t/h on.

first thing would to get some tie rod sleeves cause you can bend them tie rods easily. I dont use t/h when im taking off from a dead stop, only when i racing from a roll. make sure to drop your t bars to where the cv´s are flat.

if your going to be doing it alot some cognito braces and tie rod sleeves will be dandy.

I agree with the sleeves, I launch in 4 wd with stock trans in t/h at about 2-2100. I raced quite abit last yr. with no problems with trans, and racing with a dynoed 470 tune. Not saying everyones trans will last but it can be done. I also pull with the same tune an 14.5 ft. enclosed trailer and have 60K on truck., with no problems (Knock on wood).

That sucks. Ya, the sleeves are a must for 4wd launchs. I didn't have them at the first couple times at the track, and was running 285's and the wheels would toe in bad. I went back down to 265's and stock wheels and sleeves and made a HUGE diff on my 60 ft. Good luck..
