Opinion on Edge programmer...
I've got a 2001 2500HD with a Edge programmer already on it with 4" exhaust. I'm going to be upgrading to a cold-air intake and probably a PPE boost valve as well. I guess my question is, when playing with my programmer, is it safe to use the levels 4 (race) and 5 (extreme) with no other mods done to the engine thus far? I've never tried it and I don't want to wreck anything in the process.
Also, what's everyones opinion on the best bang-for-your-buck cold air intake?
Thanks, Chris.

IMO this is the best bang for your buck...the stock airbox is good for 500-550HP plus the filter is better than most of the aftermarket ones.
Do watch that tranny thought on those levels once you limp it it will get easier and easier...dont ask me how i know

i have the edge in my truck with the stage 2 AFE cold air intake and magnaflow dual 4" exhaust, i pretty much run my on level 5 all the time, no problems with the trans dont beat on her to bad normally. but i also always keep an eye on my exhaust temps and trans temps. just be smart with it before you can buy a built tranny.

I had good luck with mine. Had a 02 dmax CC dually with edge juice with attitude, 5" turbo back exhaust and cold air intake. darn thing got 22mpg empty and 19 pullin. loved that truck. damn deer in Kansas killed it.

luke,
if he is runnin level 4 or 5 he has to have the attitude monitor. has em built in.
