Rumor: Volkswagen Wants To Purchase Alfa Romeo
According to an article in Germany's Automobilwoche, the Volkswagen Group wants to bring another child into its already-crowded family of brands: Alfa Romeo. Hopefully not! I own a German car (2001 BMW 325ci coupe) and an Alfa Romeo 156 2.4 JTD, the Beemer is fantastic to drive, never breaks down and is an all round excellent car, the Alfa (in comparison to BMW) isn`t as well built or as comfortable, but in my experience is surprisingly almost as reliable, is great to drive and I love it because it is so good and isn`t German! VW are overrated, Audi even more so, a brand built on perception rather than fact. They`re German but they`re not BMW and they`re not Mercedes-Benz! Don`t spoil the Alfa brand in the same way as they have with Seat!
