i got pulled over about a month ago for talking while driving, he let me off maybe because i'm blessed or he agreed w/ the arguement i made....i basically said, i agree with the law BUT i think its relative to the driver on the phone.....you take a person who sucks to begin with at driving then put a phone to their ear they become even more of a liability...plus i told him i see him and all his fellow officers on their phones all the time while they are driving, at which point he told me i could tell that spiel to the judge so i laid off and got off.....

Now, i tell me my sister (new driver), if i ever see you talkin or txting on your cell while driving...i'm gonna break it.........txting is the worst/most dangerous
out of all the scenario's in my opinion

***NOT DIRECTED TO ANYONE IN THIS THREAD***

Tell ya what, next time I'm driving the ambulance or fire engine I'll do the following;
  • Not Use The Siren (not safe to be messing with all those buttons)
  • Well I cant use the lights because there is no reason to w/o a siren
  • I wont call for that helicopter you need because you just got ejected from a car
  • I wont call dispatch to get some man power on scene to help me with the CPR.
  • I wont use the spot light to find your house because you put your house number on the front door (150' from the road) instead of at the road like you should have.

Thats my promise... Don't worry though, just hang in there while your bleeding to death or having your heart attack. I will get there when I do....

Truth be told though 90% of the time there are two people in the front. One drives and one talks on the radio and runs stuff. I do run my own air horn and siren when driving because people do stupid things (like lock up brakes) when you hit it and I like to be prepared.

Jason has been with me in a medic going to a real serious call. Let him tell you how it worked out and if he thinks it was too much.
