And once again, the marketing machine takes hold. A complete floor of hybrid / electric vehicle crap, really, no like really? I'm so sick of that crap when you talk to some greenie weenie about what they do to the planet and they have no clue. Most of the eastern sea board and central USA and Canada gets its electricity from LNG or Coal - both with plenty of emmissions. Get 30% more electric vehicles on the road (ie take 30% unleaded ones off) and look at eveyone's power bills just go nuts. Brown and black outs, more health problems abound. Great, just what we need.
I think the consumer really needs to stand up and take notice. Most of the idiot auto journalists need also a bit of reality check - diesel is king.
I just read edmunds.com follow up review of the 2009 ML320 Blue Tec and they still don't really give it a great review. They claim it is lack luster at 30 MPH - aren't most things at 30 MPH? My R Class kicks some serious ***, no turbo lag and really you've got to hang on and pay attention as it will climb well above 100 MPH and still in 4th gear (there's 7 gears). I don't think that's slow. Oh and the 38 MPG (US) doesn't hurt either.
