The wind-down of GM's Saab brand started on Friday, moments after the Detroit automaker announced that attempts to sell the Swedish brand had fallen through. In a press conference following the announcement, the automaker said there are no plans to sell off individual assets of the brand, including the redesigned Saab 9-5, which was supposed to go into production early next year, or the Saab 9-4X.
