Looks like the Dow plunging has hurt alot of companies.. The new has been sayin for days that ALOT of companies will need a bailout, not just the ones that got it. Heres a lil story about GM & Chrysler talking about a Merger???

I myself don't see this happening. but with the state of money you never know but Chrysler always seems to have some financial trouble and don't see how this would really help gm... unless we get a cummins powered diesel with allison tranny and a solid front axle out of the deal...

There would be little for GM to gain from merging with Chrysler

The Dmax would stay as it is owned by the company(GM) and Cummins is not a part of Chrysler.

Yep heard about it yesterday and read about it in the paper today..... I don't foresee that happening anytime soon.

except the Mega-Cab.. There is little or NOTHING to gain from a solid front axle design. GM left that design in the 80's for a reason. There is NO NEED for a solid front axle unless you are doing competetive rock crawling or some other stressful 4x4 activity.. For a daily driver/tow rig, the IFS is fine.. and rides MUCH better!
