Diesel emissions contain more than 40 known and probable carcinogens, including fine particulate matter, commonly called soot. Every year, hundreds of New Jerseyans die prematurely and suffer asthma attacks or other debilitating respiratory illnesses from harmful diesel soot. The goal of the Diesel Risk Reduction Program is to reduce the amount of particulate matter emitted by diesel vehicles.

i am sure it has been proven that it is only from emissions from diesels that they died. i would rather breath black smoke than oxygen. but that is just me

I know there is a video on here somewhere of a dude putting his face right in the exhaust and taking a face full of soot ... I think it would be an excellent educational tool. Take some tree huggin fool and stick his/her face in the exhaust.

 

If I knew better that has been done more than once, and I know one of the guys who has done this/have seen him do it in person, its one of CumminsCrazed's buddys out in Iowa. Cool kid who drives a half ton chevy with a 350 that wishes it was a diesel.
