Oil on the maf is usually not possible since the maf is located on the air intake in front of the turbo. So do you talk about the boost and air temperature sensor?

Yes... the turbo boost sensor and the air temp sensor are the map sensor I guess...I cleaned it , no carbon just oil... as I had the sensor at the air box unpluged for a long time. I pluged it back in... shortly after that my problens with the limp mode shuting her down started.
thanks

The missing sensor could have caused a permanent failure writing into the ECM.
If so the ECM/PCM must be reset by the Dealer!
There is no other way to do it. Disconnecting the battery is useless!
It seems to be a simple solution.

I'm happy to hear it works for you.
ECM is setting an emergency fixed point to help with the missing values of the air box sensor.
Keep my fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

mikmaze..I am not much on turbos... Air research is what I had on the old cats..and what I wss thinking reading your # was maybe old 64 gm with 3 or 4 71 cu'' detroit ( 2 stroke) and 13over being a 9.5 or 12.5 18.6 foot torque Fuller 13 speed od transmittion...any way I had the liberty 2.8 CRD out for a good, fairly long run , it worked great only codes was p0102 . I rad my reader pluged in and kick out the code it would come back when I would restart her..I sure its only the plug at the air box that I have unpluged.
I bought the old girl new 6 years ogo, and thinking about selling or trading..on what there is nothing new that pleases me. I have 75000 km no serious probs. but some pains in the but. no that it is working I think I might keep it.
D u know any one with lg. millage on the 2.8? with no serious problems? (to make my confdence a little stronger)
thanks again.
