I'm hearing rumors that the DOT is going to start cracking down on custom shops that are altering trucks, including light trucks, especially shops that are messing/removing cat's or other emissions equipment.
I know if your a heavy and the DOT busts you for removal or alteration you'll be in it up to here. But now it sounds like they are investigating custom shops and probably the high volume guys first. It must not be illegal to modify performance otherwise Uncle Sam would have put the kibosh on the manufacturers.
