The thing that kills the mileage on the 95 is the 4.10 gears. It sits around 2500rpm at highway speed. Would need a Gear Vendor on it, but those cost more than I paid for the truck!

Will know on the car once I fill it up. Maybe the gauge is slow toward the bottom. I know when it was right full up to the cap the gauge only showed about 7/8 tank.

Fuel gauge is all sorts of wacked. Tank is ~16 gals but with the fuel light on it only takes 11 gals. Wonder if there is a block of cocaine in the tank?!

Anyway, last tank I did 503 miles on ~11 gals.

I don't get why people buy $40k "Hybreeds" that get around that when my $8k VW does the same?

I have a 1 micron fuel filter kit coming in for it (stock is 23 micron!) and probably going to put an EGR delete and skid plate. Oil pan is only about 4" from the ground.

Maybe later on do a chip/ECM tune, though right now I don't have the $400-500 laying around.

Wonder what the hell makes it smoke that bad? Can't tell my car is diesel other than a little bit more engine noise at idle vs some gassers.

Put about 5000 miles on the car so far and worse tank I got was 44mpg.

I found out that the tank holds ~16 gals but there is a vent you have to pull off to get the last 3-4 gals in, so my figures on fuel mileage were all messed up. (Have my own pump at home but no gallon meter)

Couple weeks ago I bought 220 gals of fuel from a guy in Anchorage for $200. Had pumped it out of a tank in ground and was sitting in barrels for a couple years. Looking to sell the house and needed it gone.

He had another ~250 gals, but the fuel smelled almost like old gas so I wanted to make sure it would work ok in the vehicles. Well it gets better mileage then reg #2 from the pump. Called to get the other 4.5 barrels and already had sold them.

Funny thing too I was filling up in Fairbanks last week and the fuel they had smelled just like this 5-6 year old fuel I bought.

I put a double dose of power service and a qt of 2 stroke oil in there just in case though. Doesn't hurt.
