Ok sorry for the posts, but some fucknugget set it up so I can't edit!
In a month that would be a $400 savings, which pays the car/insurance and puts about $100 in my pocket.

Rebuilt title is no big deal. Makes it harder to sell but otherwise as long as the frame and body is straight, not much else to worry about.
I have bought clear title vehicles that had MAJOR body/frame work done before too and only found out later on while tearing something apart.

If a salvage title is acceptable to you and you liked the car, go for it. I understand what you're talking about. My FIL bought a '67 Mustang that's been through 3 field fires and it still has a clear title. It's 100% restored. I never met my FIL, but my BIL now owns the car (hasn't run in 12+ years since my FIL died) and my BIL think it's worth a gold mine. There's not a matching number on that car and it doesn't run. $3k max. LOL.
I've heard mixed things about those TDIs. Most complaints were the transmissions. A guy I work with rocks a TDI Jetta. He puts 300k+ miles on one and buys a new one. He said he had one that needed a new tranny, but it was covered under warranty.

That is with the manual transmissions?
I like the body style of the 05. I don't know the first year for that but the 06 is different and 01 too.
I did find an 01 for $5500 but they are kind of ugly looking.

Well I hope this thing get good mileage. I put 200 miles on it so far and it's a little over 1/2 tank so that doesn't seem all that great... ~30mpg
I was figuring around 40-45mpg with 99% highway driving.
