Next time you ask for help, and someone is nice enough to offer help. And you arrange a time to call him to let him know if you are ready. Call him if you change your mind, so he does not put his plans on hold for several hours for your non existent call.

I'm really sorry you didn't get the message. I sent you a text at around 7 that morning so that I didn't wake you up letting you know I was going to be nowhere close to being able to time the motor that day. I feel really bad, i'd never intentionally stand anyone up like that. I'll understand if you don't want to assist me in timing it.

sucks it didnt work out. timing is important. both on making folks schedules coincide and making the p-pump work correctly.

Also, since someone is offering to help, make sure that the person received your message. Just as I did when you did not return my call on Thursday.
