heck yeah. real awesome time.
great turnout too
21 rigs on the dyno. countless spectaters. one of our biggest turnouts for spectaters. 100 and some odd people + but no way to get a head count. many awesome rigs and awesome to visit with all the ITD'ers.
great to be able to visit with the regulars and awesome to see some of the old members who have been missed from the past. also good to meet some new members. some of which i dint get long enough to visit with. twas a long day but busy, and went by too fast.
thanks to glenn and luke and helpers for running the dyno. thanks to all the members who showed to make this a successfull event, both dyno particapants and those who came to watch, and visit. 8 years so far of ITD dyno days at MOTOR MAYHEM [formerly mms] and these events keep getting better
had to dyno the jeep. inline 6 power buddy!!!!!!!!!! trouble is with an automatic running WOT trying to get a low rpm reading for max rwtq. need a mystery switch as the AW trans kept downshifting so no wot OD runs recorded under 3400. seems weird compared to dynoing a cummins. wish i had a manual so i cld measure the 4.0 rwtq in the 1500 to 2k range. had a flat line tq line all the way to 4500 rpm though. if i gotta have a gasser gotta be a straight 6. good engine for an off road 4WD but it is my desire to have a 4bt powered jeep for the ultimate off road jeep.
this isnt my 1st time being low # for the day. 6.2s and the isuzu powered vette which really makes everything else seem powerful.
nice to come home and have pics and rersults posted already. thanks curtis. it take amanda and i a week to get em done. we have a few to post also. have patience. i still have dec dyno shots to get up.
doug leno is doing an article on dec dyno day and todays in the same TDR issue due out the 1st of may so watch for that. several of you will be in the magazine.
yes.............. quite a good event, and pleasant weather to do an event. nicest day all year.
