Hey All,

Does a up graded intake manifold make that much of a difference? If so, which is the better one to get?

I have read up on all of them, and they all seem to give about the same HP upgrade.

Does anyone have these?

I've got an ATS arc flow, I put it on with a bunch of other stuff, but I'm really not that impressed with it, fit is not good at all, tough as hell to put in with stock boots, impossible with aftermarket.

I'll probably get rid of mine and go with a welded pipe style, or S&B makes a nice one.

Thanks for the info. I had read that one guy had issues also installing, but his was a composite. Thine that was the AFE or CFM. Cant remember now.

I have one. I made it out of 4 inch exhaust tubing and a plate. It cost about 30 bucks.
As far as performance gains, it depends upon the year of truck you have, and whither you have an EGR ( crap eater) on the manifold. If you have a Common rail or EGR it will make a differance, becaue it is a lot more restrictive. If you have a P7100, it will probably not be as big of a differance.
As far as power gains, it mainly helps on the low end of the RPM scale, when the engine is running naturallyasperated. When boost starts to kick in, the differance is marginal.

Its an 06 CTD 325 HO. Im pretty sure it is the common rail on it.

You should notice a difference then, the casting on the stock intake is a little on the thick side. But, you will only notice a difference while around town, when the the engine is naturally aspirated ( before the boost kicks in). If you have access to a drill press and a wielder, go the inexpensive rout and make it yourself. There is little to no difference between the home made ones and the after-market ones, except for the price. All you need is a 4 inch U bend piece of exhaust, and a small piece of 1/4-3/8 plate. Use cetanefreek's picture as a model.
