Just thought I would snap a couple photos of what a 47re looks like torn down for inspection.
Also in the pics is the low stall billet converter that is going in his build!
I will try to snap pics as I build along today....

Here is another pic of the Converter as well. It looks funny because the converter was set in the shipping box while the paint was still wet, so the bare areas aren't damaged or scraped off.

This trans is just getting a good mild power tow/work rig build. Some VB upgrades, extra clutches, some billet servos, and of course all the normal rebuild wear parts.
Here are some pics of the VB tear down and reassembly, gear train clearances, clutch pack clearances, and torquing some of the bolts.

And here are some leading to the final assembly stage. Cleaning and polishing the accumulator and servo bores, the cast stock pistons next to the billet ones, servo installation, end play measurement, the case awaiting VB installation, and the final product. Should be installing the trans in the morning now.

i think ron will be very happy with what you are doing to that 47re. nite and day difference tween a stocker and a properly built trans.
