well according to the majority of members who prefer having their own club owned site we are moving operations totally back to ITD.
but,,,,,,,
i for one am not going to abandon DB. [best nationwide site out there] and i will still post events here on DB/IB. and still enjoy the national part of DB as well as do my part to help out here as a staff member.
but however, the mass majority of members have voiced their opinion that they much prefer to have their own club owned website at ITD and will be moving all operations of the club back to
Idaho Turbo Diesels so ITD is where the communications for idaho's diesel enthusiasts will take place. ITD will obviouisly be MY primary home and the home for idahos diesel fanatics, just as it was before we were forced out of our damaged home site and came here while in the process of rebuilding. although notifications of events will also be listed here at the idaho bombers section of DB all discusions of events and other items, tech, planning, friendly visiting, [and once again event pictures]and otherwise will take place at ITD. operations will be just as they were before when ITD's webiste first came about.
as is stated at the bottom of the ITD logo just 4 posts up, IDAHO TURBO DIESELS is 'The' home for idahos diesel enthusiasts. the membership has spoken and let their feelings be heard. it took a long time but ITD is finnally back to life as far as the site goes and has never lost momentum in the 9 years that the club has been running. the website will remain in the hands of the club, and only the club, not to be sold off for a quick buck to the first buyer who offers a decent sum. [read: not for profit organization] and will remain only a website primarily for the western region, not to go national .[even tho we have many members nationwide and in canada, [and mexico part time]
] we will leave the running of a nationwide site to DB.
however, there is still a benefit for all to visit a national all brand diesel website for the sheer amount of tech info it houses, and i encourage all to do so. [DB is rich with tech] and i again wish to add how thankful i am that DB was here for us when our site was crashed a year ago and for the support that chad and a small handfull of his staff has given us.
our club remained very active as usual in the time we used DB/IB as a home base. many dyno days. 7 camp events in the callender year 2010 so far. 3 BOMB parties. dinner meets every month with special events thrown in. even shooting matchs. and much more on the callender listed at the ITD site. also another dyno day #27 @ mm in the works soon. another bomb/wrench party thrown in before that. a club shooting event. and a special meet soon.
the idaho club has been a gung ho group for the last 9 years. just take a look on the DB regioanals section and compare ITD with all the other regional groups. realize ITD has only used DB/IB regional section for a period of 1 year and see how much traffic it has recieved vs groups in all the other states. yes, nonstop fun for the ITD organization
our organization enjoys actually getting out and doing events
as for anyone needing to reach me, pm's work well at both websites
keep watching for upcoming ITD events
