The Good News:
Truck runs like a pissed off Gorilla with a woody. Drove it around all day trying different tunes. Got one that really makes it stand up. I see more boost in places that did not exist with the stock motor. It thumps hard at idle with the wicked cam. Once the idle smoke is tuned out you will not even give it a second look. The extra boost everywhere makes the ATS CoPilot very happy and the shifts are greatly improving. All of the above really makes me smile.

What does not make me smile:
We loaded her on the local dyno jet and put in one of the ass-kicker tunes. I was ready to let it rip when we notice a water leak...Heads are bone dry, valley is to, heater hoses, front of the motor is dry, etc. There is an aluminum plate that sandwiches between the block & transmission that has a large coolant crossover passage. This is where the leak originated. We will pull the starter and pressurize the water galleys to see if we can replicate the leak conditions. It does not leak anywhere at idle or after hard driving - it only leaked when it was under heavy load on the dyno run-up. Maybe the motor got nervous and pee'd a little?? Or it could be cracked!! I have another plate that is good but the motor could have to come out once again to properly replace this. I have already called the shop in Oak Grove to let him know. He said he would come pick my truck up and work whatever hours were needed to R&R this. Sucks big time

On a positive note - I drove the shit out of the truck today with a BIG tune in it. The truck/motor absolutely love it. Never so an EGT over 1200 degrees even while I lugged up a steep grade in 6th gear with around 20lbs of boost. Very good signs for what is to come once all of this horse-shit, BS is sorted through finally.
