I know the D-Max trucks have the AAM 11.5. Do the Dodge trucks run the same rearend??

It sucks not having better locker & axle options. I have seen the geared Torsen but they don't look much stronger than the stock 30 spline G80 gov lock units.

I don't want to run a spool on the street...

Ya the dodge has a AAM 11.5 For the diesel trucks and gas trucks has a AAM 10.5 and u can get electric lockers for them. U can get a air locker for the 11.5 for $950.00

hey powel, Does ur D-Max have a posi or just limited slip

My D-Max has the gov lock posi (they do okay for street use but won't last long outside that). I am wanting something that will handle a larger axle & spline count. I've found some decent aftermarket axles (35 spline & larger) but they require spool.

I think ur's is the same as mine and if it is then its nothn but a limited slip but i could b wrong about the D-Max. I think i'm going to put a Dana 80 out of a sec gen dodge in mine they have 35 spline axles stock and a true posi

Yep - I think the D80 is the better way to go (lot more options - I think a Detroit Locker is available). Just something else on a long list of things to change.
