Chris,
Thanks for posting your 3rd gear numbers. It helps clear up what I have been trying find elsewhere. We see a jump in the torque numbers (10-15%) between dynoing in OD vs Direct (4th gear vs 3rd gear in your truck). The horsepower numbers are not affected nearly as much. That coincides with what I have been reading.
On average we can expect our trucks to show around 10% higher torque numbers if we dyno in overdrive. Horsepower numbers are likely only 5%-8% higher on average when dynoing in overdrive.
I expect my torque numbers in 4th gear would be around 1050-1080ft/lbs. My fuel tunes run very low timing to keep the motor from eating the rods/pistons (injection timing is what makes torque).
When I go back to BTS I will do both 4th & 5th gear dyno pulls to help validate this again.

Does anyone on here know a diesel tech or someone who works for a Chevy dealer?
I need to find a flexplate holder (Kent Moore PN J-44643) to hold the flexplate in place for proper torque. On my small block/big block chevy builds it wasn't a big deal (those only needed to be torqued to 85ft/lbs) and the factory flexplates had holes machined in where you could easily hold it with a pry bar or 1/2" extension. Not the same deal on a diesel with a solid aftermarket flexplate (this one torques in three steps starting at 60ft/lbs and needs to go to at least 200ft/lbs).
