I wish I had stayed home Saturday because now my brain is buzzing about trying this out (possibly at Seneca in the fall).

Anyone have access to some scrap steel plate? I am thinking about adding steel plate to the bed floor to make weight. If I am at 6400lbs that means I could add upwards of 1600lbs over the rear axle.

Anyone got a line on u-joint sheilds and suspension stops? What about tires & a hitch? A lot of the 2wd gas pullers don't run the ultra aggressive mud terrains. Seems like you would want the added wheel speed.

BTW - I should have my first experimental converter lock-up switch wired in this week.

What is all involved with that switch? Is this going to fix it not locking?

After the blackout I am going to do some tinkering on my white heap to get it more able to pull. I am at the very tip of the pulling learning curve but I will get up to speed.

I envision my DMax to evolve into a Swiss Army knife. Part drag racer - part sled puller. Get it dialed in and then its on to the Diesel Power Challenge....

John I looked at the pictures and man if it was last fall that thing would be at my house, but in reality now it is better off where it is. But hey if you want me to put it on a 4x4 frame, i will, that a way you can just set in your spare d-max and painless harness in and bingo a puller in the works. That away the ol utility truck can stay on the track or trailer.
