what kinda smoke and egts should one see with this chip?

 

It really depends on what other mods you have on your truck. Just put one on a 97 F-250 5spd. Only mod was Gauges and straight pipe exhaust. If he runs the higher settings and lugs the engine it will smoke but normal driving it doesnt smoke. EGT's are very controllable but with his mostly stock truck he can get it hot. The newer trucks dont run as hot as the older 7.3's as his truck has no intercooler. This seems to be the most popular chip for the 7.3's.
