Anything you guys get helps the buying power! I'm thinking about getting all the gauges needed, Then buy them all at once if they'll do a much better deal! It's always hard to accomplish a good group buy on a low profit item like a Gauge!

I'll work up everything, Talk to one of my 5 suppliers monday and we'll go from there!

Okay Guys, I've got everything from all the PM's and the parts needed in this post along with the poll post...
Anything else before i send this email to the vendors?
Let me explain a little about why its taking some time on this.....

Heres a for instance..
I'll be as open and honest as I can about the vendor side!

A 4305 Auto meter 60 PSI Boost Gauge cost me $43.25 from one vendor and about $38.00 from another... Now, The lowest I've found this gauge for is $48.84, Now one could figure they've got better pricing, Well in all honesty They probably dont, and there probably banking on selling a higher quantity and lower profit per item !

Lets do the math of your better deal....

$43.25
-$48.84
$5.59
Looks like theres a $5.50 Profit hu? Well Lets do this

Say I charge you 45.00 and Move my profit to $2.75 ...Your still not getting a "group buy" Price are you ? Lets look at what that does to me....

$45.00
$ 5.00 S&H
$50.00
x 3% Handling (Part of Shipping cost! You are not billed this, This is just to show where our money goes!)
$1.50
$.50 Processing (Part of Shipping Cost! You are not billed this, This is just to show where our money goes!)
$2.00
JUST TO CLARIFY, We DO NOT CHARGE YOU 3% Thats STRICTLY to show you what it cost us!! You are Not Charged that, Only showing what comes out of the profit!!
So Looks Like I'm Making $.75 On this gauge sell.... But theres still one problem... your still not getting a super deal that most of you are looking for!

So , Heres how This is going to work , I've got a complete purchase list of everything so far, I'm going to be faxing to 5 Wholesale dealers... Not to worry, These prices are on the high end of things!

I'll tell them to earn, not just my business but yours as well they need to do some trimming!

So there again, Maybe we knock $2.00 off the end price for you ? Still not very good considering how hard I've worked and the deal your expecting still wont be reached?
So , Maybe I've earned maybe 1% cheaper from my vendors...So , Maybe I've earned something for myself, But its still not a great deal!

I just want you guys to be aware of the system and what we're up against here!
Not just in this group buy , but in the industry as a whole!

So, right now, We've got roughly $1900 of buying power! If you guys can help push this number on up there maybe we've got some more potential for a better deal!!

Hope this post wont insult or upset anyone...and maybe I'm just a small number dealer, but regardless of what other vendors may say, i dont think there getting any more of a deal than i am!

Hopefully this will shed some light on the situation you always hear us talking about!

L

I'll fax the first proposistion to the Warehousing dealers in the morning!
If within say week or so we can make a dramatic increase it will really help prices.
I hope its understood , My motivation in this is obviously not profit.. 1: Help you guy's get the deal you need 2:Increase my buying power and offer better deals!
