Question What are your Pet Peeves?

I have several pet peeves when it comes to diesels and diesel terms. However, my biggest one is when somebody calls an exhaust brake a "Jake Brake". Yes I know Jacobs makes exhaust brakes but they are not called "Jake Brakes" they are called exhaust brakes. A true "Jake Brake" is an compression release engine brake which opens exhaust valve(s) to release compression in the cylinders. (Not ragging on anybody just want to set the record straight!)

I know I am not the only one who has these pet peeves so lets hear some of yours. Maybe this will help people in the future.

Just a personal one of mine is STACKS in the bed of a pick-up.
Stacks belong on a big truck!

And that would be a REAL truck not the pickup that we are talking about here. I see that you got it right and I do know the difference too as I drive a twin stack Pete part time.
