Auto tranny questions

Ok guys this is a question i can't seem to find a deffanit answer to....i have searched a good bit with no real results.

The truck :2001, QCSB, 24v, A/T, 4x4 all stock except for FASS DDRP

I know that the stock tranny is not very good to say the least....im not planing on doning anything to the truck other then 4" exaust and BHAF, but i want to have a tranny that will hold up to the test of time, not really bullit proof but dam close to it. i haul a offroad toy on a 16 foot trailer and it seems to pull just fine except, when getting on the interstate it really feels like and sounds like im sliiping my clutch but its an A/T tranny!!!! what would be the best way or ways to up grade my tranny so it can handel the weight and power of the truck and trailer i dont have the money for a whole new tranny!!

i have never messed with any A/T trannys other then changing a flywheel so school me on this subject!!!!!

buy a new tc and vb from suncosats or one of the other tranny guys and adjust you bands.

Thats kind of what i was thinking

i know i can do the TC but i have never messed with a VB befor or tightend the bands
before.....is this something somewhat easy to do or should i take it to a shop?
