None are "safe" all will put added strain on stock parts. Edge milage max or ez if your looking for modest increase and some mpg's

Ran an Edge EZ on my 01 and the throttle response was insane. That was only on level 1.

With that many miles, I'd upgrade the lift pump, and possibly the VP (if it hasn't been replaced recently) before I'd do a programmer.

Edge juice will eat a clutch or auto tranny alive if miss used... But if your worried about the motor Having 300k and issues with more power don't be. Be worried about wear items such as the clutch and lift pump trying to keep up with the new demand in fuel consumption. A good south bend clutch and AirDog 100 and a edge juice would make a great runner.

ok i have a fass lift pump for it just havent thrown it on yet. if i didnt wanna screw around your sayin i should get the ez but if i wanted to drop like 1500 bucks then to get the juice? how much can you turn the juice up before i run into problems with the truck even if i put the clutch ect. on there?

Put the fass on regardless but it's very safe even on high with normal daily driving. But with the juice u have the option to choose your power level needed from economy, tow, performance and race. But it's safe, just keep the egts in check and you'll be happy.
