trade 12 valve for duramax?

Default trade 12 valve for duramax?

ok i have a guy wanting to trade me a 01 ext cab 4x4 duramax for my cummins. its efi live tuned with a stock trany but he said it holds great. should i be concerened about trany upgrades? i love my truck but ready for somethin different. my thing is i know they are expensive as hell to work on compared to mine...but i do really like them. also he said the injectors are 6 months old. what do you guys think? heres pics of them both, mine comes up but have to click on his..

Whats wrong with his? It one of those things that seem to good to be true. Find out where he got the injectors from, they might be from Pensacola diesel and those only last 6 months if they work at all. I would also be leery of the stock transmission behind an efi live tuned engine. Just my .02.

I've learn never to trade cars, I traded of my car which had a bad clutch, & got a car with cracked heads

im a wheeler and dealer but wont do stupid stuff. mine has 328k on it his has 225k. says he just wants a cummins. and he said they are new bosch injectors

IMO that is a lot of miles for a dmax. Your Cummins will definetly out last that dmax. Guess it all depends on what you want. I personally would not do it, but best of luck to you on what ever you choose.

Local dealer here has a 06 Dmax with 196,000 miles and still wants $17,900

not so much in my opinion even with the miles you got on urs i would still keep it. a dmax with that many miles on it seems in my opinion like a ticking time bomb. just my .02 take it for what its worth
