trade 12 valve for duramax?

225k you should still get lots of life out of the D-max. It depends on which truck you like better. Some one here are crazy for the Cummins and will tell you to stay with what you have. I on the other hand do not like Dodge trucks and would trade the guy trucks.

Honestly, both engines have a good amount of wear on them.

mine was bone stock untill 321k and never even had a hitch on it, still has original paint on the turbo and valve covers so i pretty much know what its been through...or hasnt. just seems like i would be dumb to not trade a a truck that books for 12,500 and mine books for 5100. he wants to meet up saturday morning

Are you going to trade then sale? If so then hell ya do it if you are planning on keeping it then the price has nothing to do with it.

maybe trade and try to trade it for a clean 5 speed cummins . i would never ever get rid of mine if it was a 5 speed

I can't believe how people take stock in book value, just keep in mind KBB dosn't buy or sell cars

Yup if you're plannin on tradin it down the road, soon, sure why not . But me personally, I'd keep the Cummins, period . But in the end it's your decision man, just our $.02

i kept her! put my 4k gsk in thursday night and couldnt part with it . but wow that gsk wakes it up like crazy...and i may have picked up a ats 5 star converter also. i got it for cheap and couldnt pass it up even though my trany is in great shape the way it is now
