Default Injector Ratings

I was wondering how an injector rated in LPM relates to HP. I know for example a 140 horse injector wont automaticaly give you 140 horse. I was wondering how a 29 LPM injector converts to HP and also what it would have for number of holes and the size of them? Also if anyone as a chart to help show me how the fuel flow of the injector relates to the injector rated in hp. I hope this doesnt sound like im rambling.....
Thanks
Chris

anything over 5LPM is pure bullshit and rated with air and not test fluid or fuel.

I guess i didnt have a specific injector in mind just in general. EasternAggie that is a bunch of good info, thanks. 1SlowCTD that was my next question, why would they measure with air and not fluid??? That makes no sense to me! I heard that injectors rated in hp are not real accurate but then how can you rate them in flow when every bench flows different. Then you throw the air factor in the equation?!?!?! Maybe im over analyzing....if it aint broke dont fix it rite? I wonder what smokem thinks about this?

they use air because it is easier and cheaper. HP ratings are bogus as well. I hate having to put HP ratings on my injectors but to be the most accurate percentage of flow over stock flow and hole size and quantity of holes are the most accurate ways of measuring injectors. Air just makes them seem like they are bigger and has the "my ***** is bigger than yours" effect. When in reality one of the highest HP Duramax's in the country runs 4.8LPM injectors....

Thats funny but so true. I'll just keep studying! Also what is the difference between extrude honed and EDM injectors? I read that there can be a significant fuel economy difference between extrude honed and EDM tips at the same HP increase. Do you guys that work with injectors see this too?
