The easiest way would be to get a DPF delete kit which will include the delete pipe and a tuner to clear everything up so it runs right. Might as well go ahead and get a turbo back exhaust while you're at it. If you just get a Smarty tuner and delete pipe, its about $800. If you add on an exhaust, the price will vary depending on what size and brand you get.

I would go ahead and get an EGR delete while you're at it for about $70.

egr delete gets rid od the egr and stops the egr from throwing soot into your engine,my opinion ,if you leave the egr ,it is about the same as pulling your air filter and throwing sand into the engine,I have a 09 with egr & cooler deletes ,dpf and cat gone and full 5" exh with a H&S minimax tuner and it works great and alot better fuel mileage,my truck had too many miles on it when I got it for warranty so I had no worries on putting this stuff on,I changed everything myself biggest part was taking the trans. crossmember out to swap the exh.

Ive seen a couple of grid heaters that were almost completely caked up with soot from the EGR.
