Default Dually wheels

Do duals decrease fuel mileage and are they more expensive to run? Just wondering, I have no use for a 3500.

Anything that creates drag decreases fuel milage, buyin 6 tires versus 4 costs more so yes they are more expensive to run.

if your are not towing heavy then there is no reason to run duals. it helps to add a little stability while towing. they can also be more expensive if you buy brand new tires every time. me personally i try to work it to where i only buy 2 tires at a time.

Dualls have more rolling resistance than singles. BUT, the cornering stability when running empty is unreal. I'll push my dually through corners harder than my car. They grip the road like nothing!

But, yes, spendy to buy tires for. I run retreads in back. Saves me about $60-80 per tire.
