Come on bud! You know the solution to this as well as I do..

Every time you park in that location, you need to make you a set of cardboard fender flares... carry around a roll of tape, and just tape them to your bed. Then, when you get back in your truck, throw them in the bed!

TECHNICALLY they're a part of your truck, even if just secured by a rough means of fastening fabric, correct?

Then take pictures, argue in court, and dismissed! :]
