What's the deal lately?
we are seeing some in this area too. i think it is the new fuel doing it. we tell the guys to run something in there fuel for lube. lots of guys run walmart 2 cycle oil. seems like the fuel is even worse in the winter due to winter fuel mix.
I learned the p7100's fail too. You'll be driving down the road and it will cut off cylinders one after another. Ive also seen one blow the gov housing apart. To top it off ive never seen a rebuilt one run like it should. I'm not saying yours will fail but it does happen. The best remedy is to stock up on used pumps if you rack up the miles.
These new fuels were made for the newer trucks with the newer injection systems that dont need so much lubrication so you know they will F up the older pumps eventually. Two stroke oil or automatic transmission fluid is probably a good idea.
