SilverLine Exhaust Quailty...?
Got the chance to install a SilverLine dual 4" system on a 06 cummins today... Not very impressed vs the MBRP daul setup I have on my truck. First of all the down pipe has a chesey IMO vband clamp mating surface and proved to be a PITA to line up and get seated correctly. The Real bad part about it though where the HORRIBLE welds that hold the piece onto the down pipe itself. MY GOD check it out for yourself and you tell me what you think...
Second issuse the intermediate pipe on the "direct fit" syste, was 8" to long... Thank god for a chop saw.
Third not so issue but both pipes that went over the axle had 2 very nice hangers welded to them and no hanger in site or supplied to use them...
Fourth issue a couple of the pipes were "egged" on the ends that required a BFH and a bench vice to return them to round...
Fifth issue CANNOT put the factory spare back in place unlike my MBRP setup...
All in all I wouldnt reccommend it at all, I thought SilverLine was a "better" setup then the average exhaust kits out there. Not so at all and I guess I'm spoiled by MBRP's fit and finish...
