The problematic Optimas are the red tops around here. A friend of mine is a regional manager for Auto zone and my kid worked at an O'reilys before he left for school and they both told me steer clear of them because of dropped cells. If they are bad it is usually within the first year so you get a free replacement out of the deal, so it's not a big problem at all for single battery vehicles. I'm just don't like the idea of an old and a new battery in our systems.
