How it get 12 Volt power!
The original part of this thread is missing. I'll do a quick rewrite of it.
Instead of using these piggy back connectors to get fused power from the fuse box,

with the end result looking like this. Usually a connection that vibration effects and the wire falls off.

I came across these while at an electronics store, and they work amazing.

The RED fuse if for the original circuit in the fuse panel. The BLUE fuse is for the pigtail attached to the fuse body.

It yields a very clean way to get an extra, fused power source. Do remember the warning in post #6.
