STACKING BOXES/PROGRAMMERS
why do we have to stack to get the most of what we want ?
Just for Example ..............
Brand X Fuels 75% over stock
We Stack
Brand Y Fuels 50% Over Stock
To Get 125% Over stock Fueling
With so much Competition in the performance box market Why do these companies Stop at 75% or 25% everyone wants to be the biggest and baddest Why not just change a few 1's and 0's and just make 1 box that fuels as far as you can .
I Have never understood this
1 Box Should Have The Smarty bottom end tuning A Nice Top end tuning Software <TST EDGE ECT) Be in the cab Adjustable
Then there you have it a corner on the market ?
What do you think ?

Some people just want to pay to break things!
In all seriousness we buy HP but drive TQ. So, by using a SMARTY / EDGE COMP stack you get a decent setup where by you get the very nice programs of the SMARTY, the low end grunt and the code reader. Add the COMP and you get decent top end with smoke control plus limited in cab adjustability.

VanAaken is and has been working on the C5 module that will have the capability to tune similar to EFIlive but also be adjustable on the fly. One of my customers has been beta testing there module for several months and say's there 175hp program rocks. Here is a link to the C5 page on thier site. http://www.vanaaken.com/usa/index.asp?pagename=C5

There really isn't a need to stack with EFI and it is not recomended either. I am sure there are people using and Edge Juice w/Attitude but only for gauges. Most don't know this but the Edge messes with timing even on level 0. Not a good idea to stack with EFI. No Duramax running big power is stacking anymore, just EFI, TTS or PPE.

From what I understand, the C5 is not nearly as in depth as EFI live. As for DM's question of stacking with EFI Live, no need. EFI live will allow you to adjust any and all, and more parameters than any chip or tuner will allow. You really don't need to stack.
On the Dodges, typically you stack to get the best of both units, example from above, Smarty/Comp or Drag Comp. You gain the Smarty's hard fueling down low for throttle response and spooling ability and the Comp's mid to high range of fueling and with the Drag Comp, extended RPMs.
