Default FASS Fuel Pump/Filter Heater?

Hey, i was just wondering if theres any kind of a fuel heater you can get for the FASS systems since i thought i read something about one somewhere in the instructions. It was in the 30s this morning and i have my fuel line run from the FASS pump directly to the VP bypassing stock fuel filter canister with heater and stuff. Truck was harder to start than normal so im just curious about some kind of a heater i thought i read about for FASS systems.

So you have the full Fass pump and filters then

If so then all ya need to do is plumb the glycol into the fuel heater provided

Im no expert here - but you probably should have left the factor fuel filter housing in place.

Whit, on a cold start....when the glycol is cold - how does the FASS heat the fuel?

It cant.....other than if ya keep er plugged in I guess.............................and heres another thing...the fuel circulation rate of the unused (preheated fuel) being sent back to the tank as recirc will heat the fuel cell up as quick as the glycol could anyway.

heres what I do ....................keep a good additive in yer tank year round and dont worry bout it......its all good men keep the cloud point and pour point down in good range

Actually, I meant even for the guys that have the full FASS with the filters. I dont see any reason why they cant run with an empty canister. That way you still have the heater.

that would work but IMHO the heater there in an empty canister would just be a waste since there in no filter there.....................normally with the filter in place that where you would find any gelling so the heater makes sense then.

my bottom line is dont worry bout no heater anywhere just keep up yer additives while considering yer current temps..........................once the truck starts the return fuel will heat the fuel just fine and pretty quick too

some time in the winter after a half hour drive reach under there and feel the temp of yer tank................you will be surprised

ok guys, just keeping all my ducks in a row and hitting it before it gets any colder

Also, how would i go about re-plumbing the fuel line into the stock fuel filter canister. I still have everything there and in tact, just unhooked
