I understand what you are saying about the price for the rev-x and the added price for the oil changes. However, most of the guys that I have talked to have stated very boldly that they are changing their oil at 10,000 miles while using the rev-x and with oil analysis testing some are going further than that. Now factor in the additional 1.3 mpg and extended oil changes and that dollar figure starts going the other way. Besides I already saved how many thousands on not having to replace the injectors? Come on guys you do the math on that one. I am just as big of a skeptic as any other that has tried a snake oil only to feel ripped off after not seeing anything different. This rev-x has already shown very, very positive results in my truck and I would NOT have believed it if I didn't try it for myself. My budy couldn't believe the result either and has ordered some for his 12 valve Cummins. We'll see what it will do for that too.

well, this is the last thing i'm going to comment about this stuff.

the powerstroke motors kind of have an issue with injector problems, you can search anywhere on the internet and find all the evidence you need, so why put a band-aid on the problem instead of fixing it? if the truck needed that stuff to run from the beginning then ford should have sold it with the truck as a maintenance requirement. just saying.....

hearing stories like this about injector problems on trucks that use a HPOP to fire the injectors makes me glad i own the truck that i own.

I really like to read good statements and I'm always very careful with miracle and wonderfluids.

I skip the step of adding additives and use the topline Synthetic oil brands.
My savings are to buy oil in bigger bulks. Thats it.

I'm also a strong proponent of preventive maintenance. Because usually damage gets bigger, when you wait until it's to late or try to restore it.

In this case band-aid is a very good expression. Wear is, sadly enough, not a reversible process.

No other country has so much additives, restore and repair add-ons than the US market.
Over here they slowly found out that it is a growing market. But you can't get really serious stuff in public places like public automotive stores.

That really heavy pro stuff( harmful cleaners) is strictly sold within automotive supply. chains.

The Rev-X is very popular with the 6.0 crowd, it was designed more or less for the 6.0 motor. Synthetic fluids dont seem to change the cold start issues for better or worse. I've tried just about everything. Obviously this is very important on a 6.0 since the injectors are fired off of the High pressure oil.

Rev-X actually just set up a trial thing on this website where they gave 10 members the opportunity to try their additive for free based on specific symptoms. I am one lucky such individual. I have not tried it myself as it just arrived yesterday, but from what I read from other 6.0 owners is this stuff is literally a sticky injector fix in a bottle.

Also they recommend two 4oz. bottles for the first time, then just using one after the next oil change.

Yes this can be considered a "cover to causes", but the fix is replacing injectors that don't seem to be throwing any codes. Good luck getting a Ford dealer to replace 6.0 injectors under warranty with no codes shown.

I'm more than happy to try the Rev-X.

Default REV X does work

I'm so late on posting here because i just bought a 6.0 with 8 new oem injectors in it. The #1 injector lasted just to out of warranty. I was experiencing the cold start up issues. i'd have to be 5 miles down the road before it would ever start running close to right. I had the injector replaced and a fresh oil change with the oil ford recommends and it was better, but still needed too long to warm up. i ordered the rev x and poured the two bottles in with the oil change only having a few hundred miles on it. After a day of running, it cleared it up completely.

Because snake-oil vendors make alot of money on band-aids - it's their stock in trade. Also gives them plausible deniability.

Brilliant business plan really, if you don't think about it.
