OK, OK!...I'm trying this picture thing again, so here it goes...but first I have to tell you about the $312 dollars I spent today on lights for the new bed I'm building...bought a total of 28 clearance lights and 4 tail lights and 2 red side clearance lights(all LED) a bright back up light and 2 rear view dump and load lights...and I still have more to buy?!...like I said before, I want this truck to light up the night...I am going to install 3 under each side of the cab, 6 on each side of the bed and 3 on each side of the headache rack...then I have 2 55 watt halogens for loading or dumping material plus a 55 watt halogen back up light...I will also have on the headache rack turn signals so you will see my turn signal...after that is all done I will build a custom front bumper with even more lights, fog light and running lights!...I am so excited about all my new lights!...will have at least $500 invested in new lights...still a bargain!

Looks like I figured out how to attach picture files...I still need to fix the headlight switch, the passengers door handle (only opens from the inside), fix the dash lenses and I will finish the interior later like radio and wood trim stuff cuz I want to build a nice built in cooler that will drain the melted ice thru the floor.

Thanks to all who have replied and show interest as i will have more pics on the new flatbed build.

navistar/IH sells a real nice stainless visor for the s-line cab it would look awesome on your truck, going to pick up one next week for the truck I am buildingmine is a 95 with the same cab,a more aerodine(4900series)hood will fit on the front of your truck also and make it look newer, old IH bus hoods seem to be easy to find around here

Great ideal!!! I will get a visor later yj junker, say...isn't it funny that they made the same cab for like 20yrs and how much different the whole front end looks with just a different hood/nose job...I wish a had access to the used parts house like you have around there...I had a vent wing handle break off and need to find a door handle and would love to locate a good clean dash cover...yj, I kinda like the old flat nose, it looks beefy and means business...was thinking about installing some door poppers cuz the PO says that he has replaced those handles a bunch of times

Oh yah, I am desperate to locate a clean dash pad as mine has sun rotted away and looks like crap!

Just another update on the new flatbed design...I'm playing with the ideal of using c-channel for the perimeter of the bed with the same for cross members...plenty strong but I want to install pockets for the side panels and did want that clean side look...the c-channel will face outward to protect the clearance lights from any damage...should I just install the pockets behind the c-channel and cut some holes in the floor behind the channel to insert the sides?

I'm trying to get this design finished so I can order the metal but would like to hear another opinion about the c-channel and side pockets....any thoughts

My bed dimensions are going to be 102Wx144L....so even if I install the pockets behind the c-channel I will still have 8' clearance I believe
