Thats me all the way!! If i could figure out how to get a 9 speed roadranger in my 92', I would be all over that!!!

Another reason/example. My brother has a 04.5 CTD, 4x4, auto, quad and the heaviest thing he has ever pulled is his 21 foot Bass boat. We have a long steep grade in my neck of the woods (Cuesta Grade). It's a good 6-7% pull and in one place it pushing 8%. When he starts the pull he kicks off the overdrive cause of trans temp and the overdrive ratio. I took a small backhoe (8k+) up the same grade Friday and pulled @ 65+ in 6th gear. It was 80deg. @ the bottom and by the time I got to the top it was pushing 90. The engine temp got up to 210, thermostat opened and she sat there the hole trip up the hill, no fan. She purrrrred right along @ 2000rpm. My shop forman was following me and he couldn't believe how well the truck pulled the load/grade. I got a story about the return trip today, That's for another time.

auto, just sucks how you gotta spend so much $$$ on it, to get it to do what you want

 

I voted Stick.....

 

stick for towing and long drives auto for drag racing and driving around town it gets old shifting in town

 

i dont know i can still beat the hell out of some of those ricers with my 5sp 12v especially after i do a 3rd gear drop at 15psi, i still thove my nv4500, wish i had another gear sometimes

 

stock autos suck ***. i wish i had a stick in mine. but i plan on dropping in a built tranny in the future for the occasional drag race. but i still voted manuel
