Cool c/f driveshafts

anybody running carbon fiber shafts?? seems like a pretty good idea and they're not terribly expensive.

After reading that, I really don't see where there would be any disadvantages to running it.

i know that place is pushing a product and all but that seems like some good info for sure. it'd love to dump this stupid carrier bearing set up some day.

How often do people break driveshafts?

Even when sledpullers break and start whipping against their driveshaft loops, aren't the U-joints typically to blame?

I know that if I had a choice, I would rather break a driveshaft than an input shaft, output shaft, axle or differential. Driveshafts are the eaisiest and cheapest to replace out of all the above, but they're the least common breakage... I'd personally have a driveshaft that's good for exactly 1 foot pound of torque less than what my spiders are good for.

Altough, if a carbon fiber shaft lets me loose the carrier bearing, I might consider it...
