Default What do guys think of this truck?

Cars for Sale: 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck in LAKE ZURICH , IL 60047: Truck Details - 264736634 - AutoTrader.com

I might be taking a look at this dodge and maybe buying it. I just want some opinons on what you guys think. It has a gale banks turbo plate, and intake, and a 4 inch turbo back exhaust. The trans has a suncoast torque convertor and valve body. Fuel filter replaced and lift pump, and the brakes and hubs have recently been replaced. He says he bought the truck with the Gale banks kit on it at 19,000 miles, the truck has 88,000 now. He said he used to pull his car on a trailor and just DD. So let me know what you think, and is the price fair.

thanks dave,

13,000 for a '98 12V Quad Cab longbox 4x4 with decent paint, nice interior, high dollar canopy, and less than 90,000 miles.

It's a piece of junk....time bomb....you'll hate it....I'll go ahead and save you the misery and buy it instead.

That's the "holy grail" 2nd Gen truck, mate......

If that truck is an honest deal and not a salvage rebuild or somethin then buy it now and buy it fast. I don't know if the price is right or not but it's a once in a lifetime find right there.

Like the Almighty Bubster said....as long as it has a clear title and no major accident history.

A 98 12 valve quad cab is what everybody wants as far as 2nd Gens go, for the most part.

Just about perfect that is what I think.M y first diesle was a 94 3500 dodge and I have had 5 or 6 since of every us make 6.5,7.3DI,7.3IC,6.0,6.6 even a fuso 4.9 watercooled and none were nicer than that gen1 cummins, milage, sound, dependibility and low end grunt you cant do better in this country thats the best motor EVER...

I'd much rather have a '94-'97 12 Valve than a '98. I don't like the '98 interior, but I seem to be in the minority.
