Default My exhaust now looks like crap!

I noticed yesterday that my exhaust tip was too close to my leaf spring, So I went to a local shop and had them cut out a tack weld and turn the last section of pipe and weld in a 12" piece of pipe behind the tip. Bc with the pipe turned it now wasn't long enough to meet the fender. Well it now looks like junk. my existing tip was only a foot long. So now I have 12"tip than a weld, than 12" pipe than another weld, than it bends to go over the axle.
I guess I am going to have to buy a 24" long tip to get rid of all the ugly welds!

You could take a grinder to the welds and clean them up a bit then get a high temp grey paint to cover up the whole tailpipe. Once you get some mud and wash it a few times you won't be able to tell you had that done. But anyways its chepaer than buying a new tip.

yeah, I wish I had just left it alone. I took the grinder to the welds, but it still really stands out. I wanted a longer tip anyways. oh well

I know what you mean about leaving it alone. I cut about 2 inches off mine to get it to exit in front of the tire and after being sick of the black rim I decided to move it back, now it misses the hanger so I cut the turn out part off and it shoots straight down now, its nice when someone is tailgating me or has their bright on .

But sounds like it is going to work out for you anyways...

I hope so, The company I bought me exhaust from make a 45 degree elbow with a tip I am thinking about trying. But it may look worse than what I got. Anyone know of a decent priced place to but a 20" plus tip?

find someone who is good with a welder...no grinding should be necessary, i weld everyday,it shoulnt be a mess if you taked your time and clean everything properly and leave a bit of a gap between the two but ends of pipe ur welding.
