standard exhaust vs. stacks

standard exhaust vs. stacks
Just trying to figure out what would be for better performance, a standard Banks style setup, or a set of stacks. I'm wanting to make an educated decision here. On one side you have tonnes of proven test data from banks. On the other side you have physics, looks, and the Teamster fleet that says stacks are the way to go. Any help here would appreciated.

If you like stack, go with stacks, if you like the look of a sleeper, or stock, go with that.
A 4" underbed exhaust, and 4" exhaust to a 5", 6" or 7" stack will yield the same performance.
And don't believe the crap you read in magazines about Banks having the best products. It's a straight up lie.

It's got the typical 4in underbed exhaust from Banks. Then my questions are why do the sled pullers/performance diesles run the stacks instead of the underbed, they do not have to worry about pulling a bat mobile getaway with the smoke screen to the car behind them. Also why do you think Banks suck. They are pretty bold with their add campaign in the latest diesel power mag. If those figures were false then that would set themselves up for a bankruptcy lawsuit from all of the venders that they just slam in the ad.

Well not to go around brand bashing but there isn't much difference in the normal underbed exhaust systems nothing that you would notice. Banks usually is one of the more expensive brands and personally if your pocket book is big enough to buy stuff there then you might be able to get more stuff from a smaller company for the price.

I am honestly trying to figure out what the best parts and mods to buy and do. How do you know that stacks are the same as underbed and vise versa. Also why do you not like banks. So far to me they are the only ones that I can find to back up their product with viable research. Aside from ATS

With stacks you will notice a raise in egts (exhaust gas temperature) about 75-100 deg vs a mandrel bent turbo back 4'in exhaust. Stacks look cool, sound good and thats the bottom line! AFE makes an inexpensive 4'in aluminized turbo back exhaust that is just as good as the banks or go to a local muffler shop and they can build u one as well.
