we have to go to t he DMV to get our inspections done, it sucks they do the decible test in a building dont make any sense

 

here in ohio i just had my emission test done friday and i have 4 in straight pipe and turbo engine.this is thr first time i had to do emission since conversion and it passed with flying colors,they didnt even look at the engine or ask about mufler.they put it on rolers and run truck to 30 mph and 30 sec later i had my test results done

 

Yeah, here in ohio they just do a "clarity test" you can have up to a certain percentage of particulate matter in the exhaust... like 5% *shrug*

on that same note I was just at the EPA today to get my lifetime exemption from the checks since my door tag says 10,100lbs all he did was check to make sure the exhaust was all there (straight pipe into a 7" stack) and that no tampering to emissions was done. Apparently the non-stock air filter is *technically* a no-no but he said noone really cares.

 

NYC has totally different laws than the test of the state!!!!
