Question arb locker ? For the guys that already have one

I am wondering how the air solenoid works? Is it only to release air when you turn the switch off?

The reason I am asking is that as soon as mine has air it keeps on venting until you turn it off. I thought this would only vent air to unlock it when the switch is off?

Anyone know?

thanks

Once your compressor is full, and you lock your locker, it will (should) hold air until you turn the switch off to unlock it...at which time you'll hear a psssst sound. That is the air being released. If you're hearing air being vented constantly, then you more than likely have bad seals or the solenoid is bad. Is it staying locked? and is the compressor running more often than it seems like it should? You might also check and make sure you don't have a tear or pinhole in your line anywhere. Especially if you have the stock blue line on it.
Look at your solenoid where your air line hooks up at the compressor end. If it has oil residue all over the vent, then your seals are bad.

You're welcome. Glad you got it working. I'd much rather replace a a switch than have to do seals. Not only do you have to split the case, but it requires setting the gears up again.

I do know what you mean there. I hope my seals never go out. I still think that design is kinda dumb because you have to take the bearing off to replace a 1.00 seal plus there is no easy way to take the bearing off.

Also that copper line is a rpita I can see it will hold up for a long time but oh well atleast it is in and working....
