Not sure if a Cummins 4BT would fit into a golf cart, never thought about John Deer, Thanks

3cyl yanmar diesels have plenty of power. When I worked landscaping in HS, he had a JD 430 garden tractor with that motor. We beat that like a red headed step child and it had over 11,000 hours on it and it never gave us an once of trouble.

I have a 7hp air cooled Yanmar diesel (I think its a Yanmar) that runs a trash pump I have. Haven't had any problems with it, except the time my GF put veggie oil in it... Worked fine during the summer, but froze up in the winter and clogged everything up.

You can get the single lung air cooled yanmars in the 10hp range we use alot of the small one lung yanmars are work and they are reliable as all hell. We use them for various things but most commonly as water supply pumps for our drilling and they run damn near flat out 24/7 and are only shut down for oil changes and oil filter cleaning (they are pressure lubed and have a small screen type filter)
