Default I dont know anything about injectors...HELP!

I dont know anything about injectors and am thinking of upgrading mine as soon as I get a new head kit done on my truck.

I was wondering what the hp rating means when someone says the put 200hp inj. in.
Does it mean it handles an extra 200hp or does it add 200hp.

If someone who knows about injectors could help me out and give me some of their wisdom that would be awesome.

It means they are good for up to approx. 200hp over stock.. which just means they can handle that much more fuel..

Im like 99.375 % sure of that.. so lets see what some others say.

Agreed. Although it is my understanding that the Ford block has really $$$ injection compared with the cummins. Get lots of quotes and make sure you are comparing apples to apples as there is likely some room to move in those numbers.

I would also indicate that going too large (IE without a turbo combo) and your mileage can go down and the smoke will increase dramatically with the black coal. This waste of fuel may cause you to rethink this process as it can be $$ these days just to fill it up.

stage1 injectors will work with a stock turbo, you just have to watch your egts like a hawk, even with a aftermarket turbo your egts will get into the nono zone.
