Default Deutz wafer thin manifold gaskets

Deutz BFM 1013. 7.2 ltr. I’m about to change the 6 exhaust manifold gaskets. Got the new ones from Deutz but these are just a thin single layer soft steel wafer of a gasket. 0.4mm thick. I’m sceptical about using them. The ones I took off are metal/graphite type and much thicker. One of them had a small leak. I’ve had the manifold machined so it’s good to go. Just not sure if I should use these new ones or try to source the graphite type.

I should mention that the manifold is not air cooled or open to the air. It’s wrapped in thick insulation and has a metal cover over it. Engine room on my boat.
